Construction Technology

Program Overview

The Certificate of Employability in Construction Trades prepares students for careers in the construction industry. Students learn basic skills in the key residential construction areas – building a small shed to a large commercial building, students will learn the necessary skills to enter a worksite and understand the project plans.  Our students learn about framing, dry-walling, siding basic electrical circuitry and project management. At ACHS, construction technology students have endless opportunities to explore the construction technology career pathway.

Why Construction Technology

Students successfully completing the program will be skilled in the latest advances in construction technology Skills.  In 2020, the Construction Industry represented 173,009 jobs in Colorado. By 2028, the industry will need to fill 223,060 jobs. This is a 28% increase from 2020.

Career Outlook

The average entry level salary range in Colorado for a professional with a Certificate of Employability in Construction Trades could range up to $28.88 – $32.48 per hour for an Average Annual Salary of $60,070 – $67,500.  Top related in demand occupations: Construction manager, stonemasons, carpenters, and metal fabricators.
