Hospitality and Tourism

Program Overview

The Hospitality & Tourism pathway whether you’re in the kitchen or the front of the house hotel manager,  will help you build all around leadership skills. Students in our program develop transferable skills that allow them to move in  and out of different career pathways within the Hospitality  industry. Students gain the foundational skills to lead a team of chefs within a hospitality environment , manage guest services for hotels & resorts and prepare large scale food orders for catering services.

Why Hospitality & Tourism

With 1.7 percent of the U.S. population, Colorado has 7.7 percent of the nation’s tourism jobs. The hospitality industry was Colorado’s second-largest employer in 2019, with travel spending generating more than 165,000 jobs and earnings of $5.8 billion.

Career Outlook

Hospitality & Tourism represents 12.4 % of Colorado’s Workforce and it is continuing to grow. The average entry level salary range in Colorado for a professional with prostart certifications and chef or managerial skills could range up to $18.88 – $42.48 per hour for an Average Annual Salary of $30,120 – $73,250.
